HISTORY

Salina Concrete Products (SCP) was started in 1913 by Mr. H.H. Allison as a concrete silo company, and in 1918, cast stone was added to the product mix. From 1930 until 1936, Mr. Allison's two sons Hugh and Vincent operated the company then it was purchased by the Wyatt Manufacturing Company. In 1938 concrete block and ready-mixed concrete were added as additional manufactured products. Under this ownership group, Mr. Harold Lamme managed the company until it was reorganized in 1942 as a corporation. Through many years of stock acquisition the Monarch Cement Company is now the sole owner of Salina Concrete Products.
